Drew Johnson joined Oppidan in 2014, and in 2016, he originated Oppidan’s data center platform by completing a site selection assignment for an international hyperscale client. That project led to future opportunities, leading to Oppidan’s delivery of its first powered shell in Northern Virginia in 2018. Since then, the team has completed 650 MW of developments across powered shell, hybrid-turnkey, and full-turnkey data centers. Oppidan later branded its data center platform as Oppidan Connect, and Drew now leads a team of more than 20 professionals dedicated to build-to-suit data center development nationwide.
